JOBO photoGPS
JOBO's geotagging device mounts on your camera's hot shoe and captures geo-data as you're shooting. When you download your images to a computer and run the geotagging software that comes with the device, it will tag each photo with the appropriate geographical metadata by matching the timecodes of the image files and the GPS data.

GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr
GiSTEQ's PhotoTrackr system is similar to the JOBO photoGPS system, but its tracking devices are slightly smaller and are meant to be carried in a pocket or clipped onto a bag or belt instead of mounting on the camera.

Foolography
Foolography makes geotagging devices that are compatible with Nikon and Fujifilm cameras. The Unleashed D200+ device shown here (circled in red) plugs directly into the camera and communicates with a standard GPS device via Bluetooth. It tags photos with geo-data as you shoot, so there's no additional step required on your computer.

Promote Systems
Promote takes yet another approach with its geotagging devices for Nikon and Fuji cameras. They include a GPS tracker that mounts on the hot shoe and has a cable that plugs into the camera to transmit geo-data directly into your image files as you take them.

i-gotU
i-gotU's GPS trackers are extremely small and light. They're also moisture-resistant and designed with sports activity in mind. They use the same kind of software geotagging system as the JOBO device, and include some extra sports-related software features.

Eye-fi Pro X2
All of Eye-fi's SD memory cards will transmit your photos wirelessly from the camera, but the Pro X2 can also geotag them. Unlike all the rest of the systems here, Eye-fi's doesn't use GPS. Instead, it determines your location by picking up on Wi-Fi networks in the area. It's a very convenient system, since there's no external GPS device or matching process to deal with. Of course, if there's no Wi-Fi around, it's useless.

Geotagging Apps
If your smartphone has built-in GPS, you can download an app that will make it work as a GPS tracker that can output geo-data, which you can then match to your images on a computer. Check out Geotag Photos Pro, GeoTagr, gps4cam, and GeoTag.
