Shootout Sling Bag Medium — Black/Black

I have had this bag for almost a year, and overall it is a very good bag, depending on your needs. I bought it primarily as a long lens bag for my 200mm f1.8 lens. I can fit a 200mm f1.8 (not mounted, hood reversed), a 135mm f2.0, a 1.4X Converter, and a C Close

I bought the sling bag in late 2009. It fits my D90 with grip with a 18-200 mounted (reversed hood), a D40 body and prime, a 60 Micro G, another prime or zoom and a speedlight. Even with that configuration, I still have room for my waterproof PnS, the AA battery module for the grip, ND and CPL filters and step rings. The sling bag sits comfortably on my shoulder and is easy to access either the top area or camera below. I particularly like the area in front of me to change lenses or add a flash quickly after pulling the camera. The complete zip opening back is great for laying out gear at the house or hotel. I purchased the Shootout Medium Sling bad in blk summer of 2010. I learned fairly quickly that as a 260lbs man the bag looks pretty silly on my frame. Also as cool as the sling is because it allows you to bring the bag to your front and access your gear with out taking off the bag and setting it down, the process of bringing the bag to the front always turns my shirt in the process and has my belly exposed or my shirt feeling very uncomfortable, so I always have to adjust it before I can get to shooting and that is valuable time that could have been used to get your shot. If you wear it over a jacket of some sort and dont mind how you look with a "small" bag on a larger framed man, then other than that I think its a great bag. The problems that I mentioned dont take away from the bag, it just wasnt the best option for me. But its still a really good bag. Close
