I never write reviews on anything i buy, seems like plenty of people do so i don't have to. This is the exception. As a long time Timbuk2 devotee i never thought i would buy another brand. The photo insert sold me as soon as i saw it. I had made my own

Have been using the small messenger photo/laptop bag for about 6 mos now. I have a lot of bags but finally one that I actually like. No, strike that, love! I could go on about how well designed the interior is and how the laptop fits so nicely, but the big selling points to me are: A wide-comfortable shoulder strap and easy access when the bag is being carried.

I was looking for something that could house my street photography kit plus all the stuff I needed for client meetings. This bag looks sufficiently businesslike and holds all my kit perfectly. I particularly love the quick access zip on the top for grab shots.

I bought this bag to replace a lowepro messenger that was a great bag, but really too big to carry every day. I have been using this bag for about a month now and it is comfortable to carry with a macbook, a digital slr, a few small lenses, flash, and a lot of smaller things that I insist on bringing with me everywhere. It has pockets everywhere, and is by far the most organized bag i've ever kept my gear in. It is just the right size for every day use. My only complaint going from the lowepro messenger to this is the lack of a rain cover, and so i'm making one for it...

Excellent bag. The first thing I did was get rid of the big velco on the front flap. I took the sleeve with all the pockets inside the large compartment and recycled the velcro to make the two large pockets on this sleeve stay shut for filters and a card reader. I also added three pcs. of velco so I could fold this in-half and tuck it over the camera gear. My strap goes in the zippered pocket. This bag could be improved by making the bulk of the outer shell about 10% bigger so once all the pockets get filled with things, the main flap is not so tight. Currently, anything thicker than an envelope in any of these pockets puts the bags closing capacity to the test. With just a little tweaking and some time with the sewing machine, I think I have it just about right. I stuff it with my E1, a 14-45, a 40-150, an FL-40 flash, a battery grip and accessories, plus a sketchbook, a watercolor field kit and the usual ipod/phone/keys stuff.
I would recommend this bag to anyone. Its well made and
